Your role in our mission

A DB2 Database Administrator's role involves a diverse set of responsibilities. They handle the installation, implementation, testing, and optimization of DB2 Database systems. These experts offer vital support to application developers and ensure Disaster Recovery readiness through backup and recovery management. They also utilize Tivoli Workload Schedule for scheduling in various DB2 environments.

Moreover, DB2 Administrators contribute to database enhancement by implementing new features and fixes. They troubleshoot, maintain multiple databases, and swiftly resolve issues. Managing data and log files efficiently is part of their task, along with overseeing user logins and permissions for security. In summary, DB2 Database Administrators are crucial for database integrity, performance, and security.
 

What we're looking for

  • Five years experience in RACF - DB2 Resources Classes
  • Three years mainframe / DB2 database experience
  • High volume DB2 Database and Stored Procedures running several mission critical applications. Knowledge of development lifecycle, copy books, link/bind/compile process. 
  • Knowledge of DB2 system administration using DB2 native tools, DB2 admin and DB2 log analysis. 
  • In-depth experience performing DB2 for zOS backup and restore, database reorg, buffer pools, and performance tuning. 

What you should expect in this role

  • This is an on-site position.  Candidate must reside in California (Roseville area or near)
  • Hybrid work may be considered on occasions. 
  • May require on-call support evenings and weekends.

The pay range for this position is $76,100.00 - $108,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
