Your role in our mission

Develop your career as you support Gainwell’s focus on creating innovative, purpose-built technologies and solutions to deliver better health and human services outcomes.

  • Work with multiple teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and create/develop engineering artifacts for review and sign-off
  • Participates in code reviews to ensure quality standards and business objectives are being met.
  • Mentor multiple teams around code standards and code quality.  
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Provide complex technical consultation to other organizations; interacts with senior customer personnel and internal senior management. 
  • Participate in product design meetings with management, other developers, and cross-functional technical teams to ensure that product development adheres to client specifications and is consistent across various units. 

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of System architecture and design, software development experience working with enterprise products, services and requirements preferably in a health and human services domain
  • Experience in building standards and reusable code
  • Experience with cloud based software development (AWS, Google or Azure) using infrastructure-as-code patterns (IAC)
  • Experience with any web programming language (JavaScript, Python, Ruby or Java), and C# .Net is preferred
  • Knowledge of non-relational/columnar databases will be required.
  • Demonstrable experience with client-side frameworks such as Angular, React,View
  • Experience with: Agile/Lean concepts; Git and Gitflow (or similar) patterns for code management; PostGres or SQLServer, or real time event/streaming data, document data stores (Redis, MongoDB, etc)
  • Experience using continuous integration and deployment systems

The pay range for this position is $118,800.00 - $169,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
