HMS is hiring a leader to manage the daily activities of the Provider (Credentialing) Enrollment team. The team consists of Provider Enrollment Analysts supporting the Alaska MMIS FA XIX account. The manager provides guidance to the analyst on enrollment requirements and problem resolution of concerns of providers according to established Federal, State and internal policies. Strategizes the development of tools and procedures for improved Provider Enrollment CSR's, projects, bulletins, etc. Maintains the customer relationship with internal/external customers (e.g., the client, provider organization, providers). The manager works closely with the client to ensure that the team's contractual obligations are met and to respond to provider inquiries.
Your role in our mission
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Minimum of three years recent and relevant Medicaid, Medicare or large health insurance claims processing work experience
- Effective communication skills with demonstrated success in verbal, written and presentation mode
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated project management skills which meet desired results
- Demonstrated business results achieved as a leader
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, work within an established budget and achieve business goals
- Strong PC skills preferred (MS Office)
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, personal empowerment, diversity, and teamwork
What we’re looking for
- Ability to write Provider Credentialing / Enrollment CSR's, bulletins, manuals, and banner messages; provider credentialing is also acceptable
- Participate in meetings with internal/external customers and governmental agencies. Ability to present formal presentations to large and small audiences
- Ability to establish or interpret objectives and plans for the organization's operation. Make recommendations to management on personnel and project related actions
- Evaluate the performance of subordinates
- Professionally competent in building business relationships and representing HMS in a professional environment. Interact with all levels of HMS and State staff. Ability to train and mentor staff for daily operations of the Provider Enrollment team
What you should expect in this role
- Working the core hours of 7 AM to 5 PM Alaska Standard Time to support our team in Anchorage, AK office is required
- There may be the need to travel to the office for group meetings on occasion

The pay range for this position is $91,100.00 - $130,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
