Your role in our mission

  • Head up technical teams and workstreams as you design, develop, test and install complex database applications software — with server, client and web components 
  • Keep the team on the same page by overseeing relationships between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements result in flexible, reusable system components
  • Create more satisfied clients by writing highly complex design, coding and testing documentation that yields purpose-built technical products that meet real needs
  • Shine as an SME in the areas of development, domain, application design and database methodologies and best practices
  • Show your know-how as you provide clients with technical consulting on highly complex projects by refining existing apps and designing new application modules and components 
  • Exercise your expertise by mentoring and guiding less experienced application designers
  • Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring adherence to best practices and timelines
  • Manage change control processes and ensure smooth implementation of system updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Conduct critical analysis and problem-solving to address complex technical and functional challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement in release cadence and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for technical initiatives.
  • Strengthen our capabilities as you design, develop, install, test and document applications software — including server, client and web components
  • Play a vital role in designing, documenting and delivering technical architecture solution elements
  • Support coordination between application architects and developers to make sure design requirements are accurate and deliver the desired ROI for clients
  • Define and develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed application solution designs for clients
  • Focus on the details as you develop technical documentation and test plans to support integration and deployment
  • Advance key goals and objectives for Gainwell and our clients by working closely with software developers

What we're looking for

 

9+ years of experience in Applications Development in Lead Technical roles using Java, JSF, JEE, Hibernate, Spring, SQL, Oracle and Web services.

 

Other areas of experience:

 

    • Web development in J2EE technologies
    • Full stack developer with UI experience
    • Object Oriented concepts and patterns
    • JSF 1.x, MyFaces Tomahawk, JSP -supported by JSF 1.x
    • Spring, Hibernate, JSF, RDB, Webservices (SOAP, REST), IDE, Versioning Suite
    • Client facing role and requirements analysis
    • Subject Matter Expert in Managed Care, Member Management, and Eligibility Verification
    • Extensive experience in PA, PAS, and Provider domains
    • Application Servers - ideally WebLogic
    • Eclipse or other IDE
    • Gitlab and GitHub
    • Technical writing skills to include Requirements/Design Docs, other technical documents)
    • Analysis skills in UI (Requirements gathering, Design, etc)
    • Linux
    • AWS (EC2 Instances, Lambda Functions, S3, Amazon RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS IAM, AWS CodePipeline)
    • AWS Best Practices and Cloud Centric application development
    • Serverless architectures such as serverless services, event driven architecture, microservices and microservice orchestration

  • Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States
  • Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
