As a ​Advisor Information Security Engineer at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. Gainwell is seeking an experienced Data Security engineer who can provide technical expertise and manage the delivery of Data Security services for the assigned customers.

Your role in our mission

 

  • Design, implement, and administer Data Access Management (DAM) and other Data Security solutions
  • Perform data security solution installations, configurations, patching, and troubleshooting
  • Create, test, and tune policy rules and reports and partner with stakeholders to develop test cases
  • Performs complex engineering analysis on software agents and appliances; reacts to and initiates corrective action for issues until resolved; proactively seeks out areas of improvement
  • Plans and communicate security solution changes and updates to stakeholders
  • Performs thorough product evaluations, recommends, and implements products/services for new or replacement security technologies
  • Designs and architect’s Data Security solutions that meet security requirements and business objectives in a scalable and cost-effective way
  • Reviews, recommends, and oversees the installation, modification or replacement of hardware or software components and any configuration change(s) that affects data security solutions
  • Develops, maintains, and reviews operating procedures, solution topology diagrams, and reporting metrics
  • Influences and contributes to the data security program development and roadmap planning
  • Provides support and guidance to other security resources including business partners and suppliers
  • Train and educate staff to use software solutions safely and efficiently

What we're looking for

 

  • Five or more years of experience in database administration supporting relational database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, etc.
  • Experience with cloud hosted database Platform as a Service (PaaS) or Database as a Service (DBaaS) from AWS and/or Azure
  • Three or more years of experience administering, managing, and tuning, IBM Guardium, Imperva, or equivalent solutions
  • Experience working with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, firewalls, ACLs, and encryption
  • Experience working with server operating systems such as Windows, Linux, etc.
  • Experience working with federal regulations related to information security (FISMA, Computer security Act, HIPAA, CPRA, etc.)
  • Experience working with NIST Special Publications or other industry frameworks
  • Possess relevant vendor and industry security and technical certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.)
  • Strong documentation, communication, and workflow design skills

The pay range for this position is $95,100.00 - $135,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
