Your role in our mission

 

  • Enter accruals or invoices for customers in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures bills and accruals are in compliance with appropriate contracts, guidelines and regulations. Identifies issues, researches same and remedies as appropriate. Escalates items that require additional management review or intervention.
  • Provides overall general accounting support with full responsibility for:
  • Preparation of general ledger entries and reconciliations for month-end closings.
  • Preparation of monthly account analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Monthly financial statement analysis and reporting.
  • Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Ensures monthly, quarterly, and year end closes are completed timely and accurately.
  • Establishes and monitors the implementation of accounting control procedures.
  • Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Prepares for financial audits and assists in coordination the audit process.
  • Ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
  • Analyzes financial information, provides strategic recommendations and identifies solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Assists with all other projects as needed.

 

Other Functions:

 

  • General understanding of revenue recognition guidelines (ASC 606)
  • Participate in the revenue monthly and quarterly close process ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliation for areas of responsibility.

What we're looking for

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Corporate accounting experience to include general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.

  • Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Microsoft Excel experience and knowledge of various accounting software.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.

The pay range for this position is $33,500.00 - $47,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
