Summary
Gainwell is seeking an Business Analyst - Data Analytics & Reporting to support data-driven initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable solutions, support data quality initiatives, and ensure project deliverables align with client expectations.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to develop technical and business analysis expertise while contributing to process improvements and organizational success.
Your role in our mission
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal teams to identify opportunities for business process improvements.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
- Translate technical requirements into business-friendly language and communicate business needs to technical teams.
- Develop and maintain process flows, business requirements, and technical documentation.
- Build conceptual data and process models to evaluate the impact of proposed system changes.
- Support data quality initiatives by defining and validating solution requirements.
- Create, execute, and analyze test cases to verify that business requirements are met.
- Participate in technical reviews and project discussions with business and technology leaders.
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Visio to support analysis and reporting activities.
- Stay current on business analysis methodologies, data analysis techniques, and emerging technologies.
- Support project planning, execution, and process improvement initiatives.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related analytical role.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, business process analysis, and data modeling techniques.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
What you should expect in this role
- Fully remote position within the United States.
- Standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.
- To work effectively as a teleworker or hybrid positions with Gainwell, employees must have a broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 24 Mbps download and 8 Mbps upload. Higher speeds are recommended for optimal performance.

The pay range for this position is $37,500.00 - $53,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
