Summary

As a Business Analyst - Medicaid Claims - Hybrid at Gainwell, you will use technology to help clients improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve. This client-facing role with the State of Florida requires strong verbal and written communication skills and a passion for solving complex healthcare challenges. You must be able to work independently, manage responsibilities effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Your role in our mission

Play a critical role in helping Gainwell meet client objectives by:

Supporting business analyst team activities on IT projects and contributing to a collaborative team environment
Working with the Business Analyst Advisor and clients to develop business specifications at the start of technical projects
Analyzing, planning, designing, and documenting business processes, and recommending improvements aligned with client technology goals
Verifying requirements by creating, executing, and validating test results
Using analytical and database tools such as Excel or SQL to support testing and system changes

What we're looking for

Three or more years of Business Analyst experience translating technical requirements into actionable outcomes; includes Medicaid Claims experience
Understanding of programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
Strong client communication skills with the ability to translate needs into actionable objectives
Strong analytical and business process improvement skills
Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences
A collaborative team player who can influence others and clearly communicate technical concepts

Medicaid Management Information Systems (preferred)
Medicaid claims experience (required)

What you should expect in this role

Must be within commuting distance of Tallahassee, Florida
Hybrid schedule requiring onsite work 1–2 days per week

The pay range for this position is $55,600.00 - $79,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
