Your role in our mission

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas.

  • Elicit and draft business, functional, and non-functional requirements for assigned project solution areas.
  • Draft design deliverable content under the guidance of Business and Technical Leads, translating approved requirements into solution details with client-facing business language.
  • Oversee project solution components end-to-end, including drafting descriptions, coordinating with developers and testers, and managing status updates.
  • Write and execute test cases and/or support Testers and Test Leads.
  • Perform production verification to confirm solutions work as intended in live environments.
  • Capture meeting minutes for internal and client meetings when delegated by the Project Manager or Business Lead.
  • Collaborate with Business and Technical Leads, Developers, Testers, and SMEs to ensure project deliverables are accurate and complete.

What we're looking for

  • 3 or more years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst position with 2 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred 
  • 2 or more years of Claims experience, required.  Professional / Pharmacy Claims preferred.
  • Detail oriented with good documentation skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time
  • Knowledge of computer programming concepts such as configuration, development and batch processing
  • Advanced knowledge in analytical software such as Microsoft Excel or SQL and other requirement-mapping tools such as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools while integrating your strong analytical and business process re-engineering skills
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel by translating client needs to actionable objectives

  • Opportunities to contribute across multiple phases of the project lifecycle, with guidance from senior team members as you build independence.
  • Responsibility for assigned project solution components, with support from Business and Technical Leads.
  • Participation in requirements sessions, design discussions, and reviews to strengthen analysis and communication skills.
  • A mix of team collaboration and individual assignments that help deepen your Medicaid and pharmacy/claims knowledge.

  • Remote options available from continental US locations only.
  • Opportunities to travel through your work (0–10%).
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation and all client meetings.

The pay range for this position is $55,600.00 - $79,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
