Job Description

We are seeking a Business Process Engineer who is responsible for improving organizational capabilities including facilitating company growth, customer loyalty, cost reduction, improved efficiency, employee engagement and culture change through the application of high-impact business process engineering initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and improve business processes to improve overall workflow efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Document processes and procedures using standard methodologies and tools.
  • Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to identify and plan improvements (process and technology) including identifying the current process, applying best practices, and creating performance measurements.
  • Lead non-conformance investigation, root cause analysis, corrective, and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of organization-wide process-centric methodologies (i.e. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Metrics, Goal Alignment, etc)
  • Provide education and coaching on process methodologies, enterprise process leadership, and impact of recommended changes.
  • Work with customers to establish and maintain excellent working relationships, resolve issues, and promote team services and capabilities.
  • Facilitate organizational change
  • Implement, enhance, or troubleshoot database environments and existing SQL logic.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Project Management
  • Any scripting language
  • Lean Six Sigma

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data
  • Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 10 lbs.)
  • Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals
  • May be required to work extended hours for special business needs
  • May be required to travel at least 10% of time based on business needs

Job Description

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering or Business Operations) required OR, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Certifications (Required/Desired):

  • Business process engineering certification a plus (i.e. Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt)

Minimum Related Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with internship experience, 6+ years of experience required without Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in business process design/improvement, experience with ITIL, Baldridge, or ISO preferred
