Summary
Gainwell Technologies is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician – Remote US to support our PBM clinical/technical call center. In this fully remote role, you’ll handle provider calls, process prior authorizations, and resolve pharmacy inquiries across multiple channels—while protecting PHI and meeting strict turnaround times.
Your role in our mission

Process prior authorization (PA) requests within mandated state timeframes and complete approvals when pharmacist review isn’t required.

Field and resolve provider inquiries on first contact; document all interactions accurately in the appropriate systems.

Conduct proactive outreach to providers to obtain missing information and close PA cases.

Follow SOPs, meet productivity/quality KPIs, and complete assigned tasks within regulatory guidelines.

Flag inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to keep workflows current and compliant.
What we're looking for

Active Pharmacy Technician registration with a Board of Pharmacy or national certification (PTCB, ExCPT, etc.).

2+ years’ experience as a pharmacy tech (retail, hospital, managed care, PBM or insurance).

Strong knowledge of drug names, medical terminology, and pharmacy insurance/claims processes.

Excellent verbal/written communication, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems quickly while working independently or in a team.

100% remote call center work with scheduled shifts; flexibility may be needed during peak volumes.

High-volume provider interaction via phone, email, fax, and web portals.
