Your role in our mission
Essential Job Functions
- This position is responsible for the engagement of several clients, including a top 10 client. Responsible for managing the client contract, relationship management, and ensuring that Gainwell operations perform according to contractual commitments. The Client Manager is also responsible for revenue generating activities and upselling new services to existing clients to achieve contract and corporate financial goals.
- Prepares & monitors budget and revenue expectations for assigned client(s).
- Works with client(s) to develop project approach and implementation plans.
- Oversees development and implementation.
- Reports to Client engagement leadership on progress toward strategic client growth and business goals.
- Communicates/interfaces regularly with client(s).
- Creates agendas and provides recaps for all client touchpoints.
- Directs Gainwell contract operations to ensure successful delivery of services to client(s).
- Identifies and continually seeks new sources of revenue.
- Builds relationships with internal and external staff to ensure client expectations are being met or exceeded.
- Manages client relationship; responsible for ensuring client satisfaction.
- Supports sales opportunities and assists the client engagement team with successful close of sale (including proposal development process).
- Monitors state legislative, regulatory, and competitive environment and alerts engagement to risks and opportunities.
- Supports collaboration between client engagement team, internal departments and operations staff.
- Handles client(s) invoicing & accrual tracking.
- Ensures timely deliverables are sent to client, examples include: solution deliverable files, reporting, invoices and backing detail, etc.
What we're looking for
Basic Qualifications
- Without bachelor’s degree, 7 + years relevant work experience with experience in one of the following areas preferred:
- Health insurance
- Client service/business to business
- Healthcare policy
- Industry with high level of compliance (i.e. Finance)
- Large client management
- With Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of relevant experience
Other Qualifications
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, must be fluent in English.
- Ability to be careful and thorough about detail. Strong organizational skills and note taking
- Ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service and follow up skills.
- Ability to negotiate and collaborate.
- Ability to manage expectations, resolve problems, and develop opportunities.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Tableau preferred

The pay range for this position is $52,900.00 - $75,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
