This position will need both strong technical and program management skills. In this role, you will need to provide guidance to Date engineers working on file-based interfaces, ETL tools, Hadoop Ecosystem, and Cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will also need to work with the project management office, and project leadership to ensure that tasks are being completed on time and that any obstacles that come up are dealt with quickly and effectively to maintain compliance with an aggressive project schedule and deadlines.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge
  • Ability to Design, build and maintain scalable and robust solutions that unify, enrich and analyse data from multiple sources
  • Partner with architects, Data Engineers, data scientists, and analytics professionals to establish a data modeling vision that will drive our success and develop solutions leveraging big data technology (Hadoop, Azure or AWS)
  • Lead and manage data modeling efforts for Azure data and analytics platform
  • Design, architect, to ingest, process and analyze large, disparate data sets to meet business requirements
  • Provide clients with a unique business perspective on how Big Data analytics can transform and improve the organization
  • Leverage in-house data platforms, and recommend and build new data platforms or solutions as required to exceed business requirements
  • Apply a data driven approach (KPIs) in tying technology solutions to specific business outcomes
  • Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress
  • Develop and leverage relationships across the enterprise to establish a comprehensive understanding of business model
  • Ensure consistency, understanding, ease of use, and performance of data by applying and enhancing best practices and standards for data modeling
  • Work with data governance and quality teams to incorporate processes into models
  • Lead workstreams with cross-functional agile teams that include data scientists, data engineers, analysts, and product managers

What we're looking for

 

  • 10+ years of related work experience; with 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies in one or more of the following ecosystems such as Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, Streaming, Sqoop, HIVE, Cassandra, Mongo, Kafka, Databricks or any modern platform.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience coding Scala, Python, R, in Java, C#, C++ and/or SQL.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience organizing, aggregating, querying, and analyzing large data sets.
  • Cloud Experience is must - Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Knowledge on analytics tools & reporting such as Tableau, PowerBI, SSIS and SSRS.

The pay range for this position is $93,400.00 - $133,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
