Your role in our mission

As Compliance Manager for the for the new core MMIS and supporting services contract, participate in all phases systems design, development, and implementation as well as the ongoing System Operations and Fiscal Agent Operations. The Compliance Manager provides proactive analysis and options for system and operations changes to implement regulatory authority from CMS. The Compliance Manager is responsible for contacting client when CMS rules (draft and final) are released, organizing meetings to present the rules and help to provide comment to CMS and to propose solutions to implement the rules. The Compliance Manager shall focus on any rule that impacts and Fiscal Agent Operations. The Compliance Manager is also responsible for assisting client in preparing Fiscal Notes to proposed State legislation. The Compliance Manager shall be in place at the Contract effective date and shall be dedicated to the new core MMIS and supporting services project full time.

Assist in keeping projects moving as Gainwell helps clients deliver better health and human services outcomes through technology and innovation.

  • Supports and guides assigned business units/lines of service in developing, implementing, and maintaining more complex effective compliance programs.
  • Supports/performs more complex risk assessments of assigned programs. Informs management when areas require attention. Tracks and reports complex compliance trends to management.
  • Oversees and performs more complex compliance testing reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Resolves moderate to more complex problems as appropriate and follows through to ensure corrective action is taken.
  • Monitors changes to more complex laws and regulations, compliance-related development, and disseminates pertinent information to the affected units to ensure compliance.
  • Develops and coordinates compliance awareness programs to increase employee understanding and supports more complex business functions.
  • Provides guidance to business units/groups in assessing the impact of new or amended regulatory requirements and participates in implementation of more complex regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors and maintains more complex compliance related information systems to ensure compliance information and documentation are accurate and current.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced personnel.

What we're looking for

  • At least five (5) years of experience in the Compliance management preferably within in the health care industry.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of industry standard and best practices regarding large scale and enterprise level projects.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in performing similar services on complex systems based on modern technology or operational systems.
  • Extensive experience in technical writing.
  • Preferred experience in health care related concepts.
  • A strong executive presenter who communicates ideas clearly 
  • Influencer that who can clearly communicate project priorities and motivate direct and indirect networks and stakeholders to action

The pay range for this position is $86,000 - $124,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
