Summary
The Director, Marketing Strategy & Operations is a senior, hands-on leader responsible for how the Marketing organization operates, measures performance, and engages with executive leadership. This role partners closely with the CMO and Marketing leadership to drive focus, execution discipline, and high-quality leadership communication.
The role spans marketing operating model leadership, performance and reporting governance, executive readiness, and business operations, with accountability for both outcomes and quality. It plays a central role in enabling the Marketing organization to perform at a high level and clearly demonstrate its impact.
Your role in our mission
Marketing Operating Model & Team Enablement
- Define and maintain the operating structure for the Marketing organization, including decision rights, governance, and core operating rhythms.
- Establish clear expectations for planning, execution, collaboration, and follow-through across teams.
- Own key team cadences and engagement, including weekly and monthly meetings, leadership forums, and Marketing offsites.
- Partner with Marketing leaders to reinforce a strong team culture grounded in accountability, clarity, and shared purpose.
- Set standards for internal communication and collaboration, including effective use of tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase speed, clarity, and effectiveness.
Executive Readiness, Reporting & Leadership Communications
- Partner closely with the CMO to support CEO and executive leadership preparation, including executive-level presentations, briefings, and performance summaries.
- Define how Marketing performance is measured, reported, and communicated to executive leadership.
- Establish reporting frameworks, KPIs, and success metrics aligned to business priorities.
- Direct the development of dashboards and scorecards, setting standards for clarity, relevance, and executive usability.
- Own the structure and narrative of CEO updates and leadership readouts, translating data into clear implications and recommended actions.
- Coordinate and manage the company-level board deck development process, including timelines, inputs from section owners, and overall quality control, ensuring materials are cohesive, concise, and aligned to leadership expectations.
Marketing Business Operations & Resource Management
- Own accountability for the Marketing budget, including planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and leadership reporting.
- Ensure strong operational discipline, financial transparency, and compliance across Marketing activities.
- Own vendor strategy and selection decisions for Marketing.
- Oversee vendor performance, contracts, renewals, and supplier relationships, ensuring spend aligns with priorities and outcomes.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations for Marketing leadership.
What we're looking for
- 8–12+ years of experience in marketing operations, business operations, strategy, or a related role
- Proven ability to operate effectively at both executive and executional levels
- Demonstrated experience defining reporting frameworks, dashboards, and executive updates
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including budget and vendor management
- Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge

The pay range for this position is $130,600.00 - $186,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
