Summary
Gainwell is seeking an experienced and results-driven, technically minded business leader to manage market, industry, & competitor analysis and product innovation strategies across the Provider Solutions portfolio. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Provider Solutions, this leader will be accountable for evaluation of existing products, defining opportunities for enhancement and optimization, and identification new product development to address market opportunities. This role will act as the face of provider product strategy and innovation, driving cross-discipline alignment on product technology and process advancement. A successful candidate will be highly organized, strategic, collaborative, creative, and have exceptional problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. They will be a visionary in software products and technology advancement, drawing from best and emerging practices across the technology industry. They will be accountable for overseeing all technology and product advancements from concept through delivery across the Provider portfolio.
Your role in our mission
- Conduct Medicaid federal, market, policy, and competitor analysis to inform product strategy and innovation roadmaps.
- Analyze and assess target market, and thoroughly understand competitive landscape and market position of solution portfolio, along with federal (CMS) and state mandates.
- Develop business cases for new solutions that will add significant value and help Gainwell, and its clients, achieve business success.
- Interface with engineering and business leads to derive opportunities and identify technology advancement opportunities and prioritize based on impact.
- Closely align with Provider solutions team to understand current technology and how to evolve existing solutions over time through organic and inorganic transformation.
- Coordinate strategies, work, and communicate effectively between corresponding leadership roles in Product, Engineering, Implementation, Delivery/Operations, Marketing, and Sales to drive achievement of innovation goals.
- Produce and deliver executive reports on technology and innovation vision, strategy, and finances on a routine basis.
What we're looking for
- 7-10 years of technology consulting and/or strategy management, with extensive exposure to product management, engineering, implementations, sales/marketing, and delivery.
- 5–8 years in healthcare strategy consulting and product operations (public sector a plus).
- Excellent communicator with a knack for distilling complexity into clarity.
- Highly organized, proactive, and discreet—comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid, Provider enrollment processes, and CMS regulations (relevant commercial experience is acceptable).
- Ability to drive multi-year product technology and innovation roadmaps to achieve measurable business transformation.
- Proven achievement bringing new products to market that drive net new business growth.
- Experience overseeing multiple complex technology projects and tracking from concept to completion.
- Expertise in Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) solutions is preferred.

This opportunity is 100% remote within the United States with opportunity to travel for work up to 10% annually.

The pay range for this position is $137,100.00 - $195,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
