Director Finance Transformation & Shared Services

Provides in-depth financial analysis and recommendations to Division and Group Management regarding the relationship between the information and management decision making and business objectives. Responsible for the analysis of historical revenues, expense, and cash flow data.


Essential Job Functions


  • Lead target operating model design for the company’s Financial systems landscape and finance shared services operation
  • Lead automation enablement of target operating model by continually evaluating chosen ERP capabilities and niche bolt on solutions that will drive efficiencies and result in a best-in-class finance operation
  • Continually deep dive on finance shared services operation across areas including Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Accounting, Payroll, FP&A, Analytics and Treasury to identify automation and enhancement opportunities that drive efficiencies
  • Leverage experience in opportunity identification by mapping current state processes and designing the target automated operating model for in scope finance functions 
  • Transition from legacy finance operation processes to target model platforms and processes
  • Lead the finance acquisition integration effort for shared services as well and platform migration
  • Lead the design, selection, development, implementation, and administration of the organization's financial systems, platforms and supporting applications


Basic Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor's or Masters degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years experience in SAP environment and implementing niche bolt on solutions designed for SAP
  • 5+ years of automation enablement, organizational change experience and shared services
  • 5+ years experience in process mapping, opportunity identification and target solution development
  • Ability to manage large scale transformation projects and initiatives specifically in areas of automation enablement in finance and shared services set up and design
  • Experience working with knowledge assets, process improvement, process redesign, issue resolution and knowledge migration
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with transformation management and organizational change
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices
  • Good leadership skills to train, guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
  • The inclination to seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and to align others with the organization’s overall strategy.
  • An entrepreneurial and creative individual who has an approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry
