Summary
Gainwell is seeking an experienced Director of Product Marketing to drive the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging for our public health and Medicaid solutions. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that our solutions are effectively communicated to state healthcare agencies and public sector decision-makers. This position leads a team of product marketers and works closely with product management and the Field Marketing/ABM team to develop product narratives, create compelling content, strategize on campaigns, and drive demand for Gainwell’s solutions.

 

Your role in our mission

  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Gainwell healthcare and public sector solutions, ensuring clear and consistent messaging that resonates with target audiences.
  • Solution Positioning: Using marketing best practices, guide the product marketing team to craft and refine product positioning and messaging that differentiates Gainwell’s solutions in the market, tailored to public health and Medicaid stakeholders.
  • Content & Collateral Development: Provide leadership and guidance for the creation and management of a wide range of marketing content, including solution briefs, white papers, case studies, and presentations that support both product-level and account-based marketing efforts.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip sales and account teams with the tools and training needed to effectively communicate the value of Gainwell’s solutions, including battlecards, product presentations, and competitive analysis.
  • Market & Competitive Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape, using insights to inform product strategy and marketing messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, sales, and the Field Marketing/ABM team to develop sound campaign strategies, and  ensure product marketing efforts are aligned with overall go-to-market strategies and customer needs.
  • Launch Management: Lead product and solution launches, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful rollout and strong market adoption.
  • Customer Insights & Feedback: Engage with customers, prospects, and sales teams to gather feedback and insights that inform ongoing product development and marketing strategies.
  • Performance Measurement: Track and report on the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership:  Lead product marketing team to exceed success and growth measures defined by marketing senior management and agreed to by key stakeholders. Foster team’s development and advancement of skills and knowledge.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing in healthcare technology/services. Having public sector experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years managing a marketing team, preferably product marketing.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies for complex solutions.
  • Strong experience in crafting product positioning, messaging, and content that speaks to decision-makers in state and government agencies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage market data and insights to inform product and marketing strategies.
  • Experience with marketing technology and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Demandbase) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Pragmatic Marketing certification is a plus.

 

What you should expect in this role

  • This is a fully remote position with annual travel possible up to 15%.

The pay range for this position is $130,600.00 - $186,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
