Summary

As an Early Career Business Analyst - Strategic Operations at Gainwell, you will serve as a key partner to ITO Delivery leadership, helping drive strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and business outcomes across the organization. This individual will be responsible for developing data-driven insights through analytics, dashboards, and KPI measurement to support executive decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Collaborate with a team of business analysts making client recommendations that can improve business processes
  • Translate your client’s business needs from the requirements generated for our technical teams into simpler non-tech language
  • Help your team analyze and document systems requirements and business processes
  • Build basic conceptual data and process models to quantify the potential impact of changes to the system
  • Verify that client requirements are built into the system design by executing and analyzing basic test case scenarios from existing test plans 
  • Be part of technical reviews and inspections with senior leaders to ensure the final product meets client expectations
  • Expand your technical skills in software applications such as Microsoft Excel, SQL or Visio to enhance your expertise in this role

Primary responsibilities

  • Power BI reporting and data visualization, supporting ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO) intake and workflow optimization
  • Creating impactful executive presentations and communications
  • Managing leadership staff meetings and action tracking
  • Coordinating strategic planning sessions and offsite workshops
  • Supporting PI supply and demand forecasting
  • Managing a variety of CTO / ITO business requests including status reporting, accomplishments, goals and objectives, and budget-related activities.

Ideal candidate

  • Will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with modern AI productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills, executive presence, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

What we're looking for

  • Basic understanding of the software development life cycle and software such as Microsoft Office
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to assess business needs and triage bugs and defects
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in a professional work environment 
  • Interest in working at the intersection of the ‘technical’ and ‘non-technical’ and learning more about business processes and re-engineering
  • Ability to work in a team environment with other professionals  

Key qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field
  • Experience with Power BI, reporting, data analytics, and dashboard development
  • Working knowledge of SQL, PowerShell, Python, or other scripting/programming languages
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies
  • Strong presentation development skills with the ability to translate complex information into concise executive messaging
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and facilitation skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to receive strategic direction and independently drive results
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities while maintaining focus on deadlines and outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through to ensure commitments are completed and nothing falls through the cracks
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams

  • Delivers executive-ready presentations and communications that support strategic decision-making

  • Leverages AI and analytics to accelerate delivery, improve productivity, and enhance business outcomes

What you should expect in this role

  • Fully remote office from Contiguous US locations only
  • Limited travel, approximately every other month, will be required to support leadership workshops, planning sessions, and strategic organizational events.
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $44,500.00 - $63,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
