Your role in our mission

 

Gainwell empowers you to help clients deliver better health and human services outcomes using innovative technology and solutions.

 

  • Code, test, debug, implement, and document programs or enhancements to existing programs, and apply 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity. Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) or Eligibility and Enrollment processing systems is a plus.
  • Design and develop batch and real time interfaces.
  • Research and analyze existing systems and program requirements to implement new business processes and rules. Participate in code reviews.
  • Monitor application performance and perform run time improvement functions. Research and resolve application production problems. Develop and suggest alternative approaches to resolving problems.
  • Follow the defined systems development life cycle processes and local procedures while overseeing the technical work on a project.

What we're looking for

 

  • 5+ years of programming experience writing code using UNIX (C, C++, shell, editors). Eligibility, Interchange and/or PS2 experience highly desirable.
  • Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software. Intermediate understanding of RDBMS database, Oracle.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients. Able to communicate design and function internally and with external clients.
  • Self-motivated problem solver who actively participates in solution development. Experience working with clients doing detailed design work and coming up with proposed solutions.

The pay range for this position is $72,800.00 - $104,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
