Summary
As an Experienced Business Analyst - Requirement Validation (RV) at Gainwell, serves as a strategic project leader and primary liaison for requirements and design validation activities on large-scale implementation projects. This role leads an integrated requirements and design approach that emphasizes clear, testable acceptance criteria, uses approved design documentation to validate functional requirements, and coordinates efficient, risk-based validation of non-functional and technical requirements through applicable deliverable reviews and approvals. The Experienced Business Analyst - Requirement Validation (RV) ensures alignment among business outcomes, stakeholder needs, solution design, acceptance criteria, and downstream delivery while maintaining traceability, quality, client confidence, and project momentum.
Your role in our mission
- Leads and oversees the integrated requirements and design validation process, establishing the methods, sequencing, roles, and quality expectations needed to accelerate delivery without reducing rigor.
- Transitions teams from reliance on stand-alone “How Requirements Are Met” documentation to an acceptance-criteria-led model in which validation evidence is captured in the most appropriate approved project artifact.
- Defines, reviews, and maintains clear, measurable, and testable acceptance criteria that translate business needs, policy obligations, and expected outcomes into a shared basis for design, development, testing, and client acceptance.
- Coordinates requirements analysis and solution design as overlapping, collaborative activities, resolving questions and decisions early to reduce handoffs, rework, and schedule delays.
- Uses design documents, process models, interface specifications, demonstrations, decision records, and related solution artifacts to obtain functional requirement validation and document how the solution satisfies the approved need.
- Establishes and facilitates bulk validation of non-functional and technical requirements when the approved deliverable provides sufficient evidence of coverage, while identifying exceptions that require requirement-level review.
- Defines validation packages and approval strategies that group related requirements by business process, capability, design component, or deliverable, with clear scope, approvers, evidence, assumptions, dependencies, and exception handling.
- Maintains fit-for-purpose traceability from business objectives and source requirements through acceptance criteria, design decisions, approved deliverables, test coverage, and implementation outcomes.
- Applies risk-based judgment to determine when design-document approval or bulk validation is appropriate and when individual requirement validation, additional evidence, or escalation is necessary.
- Packages client-ready requirements and design artifacts for review, ensuring they are complete, consistent, understandable, and aligned with project goals and contractual obligations.
Driving Delivery, Governance, and Stakeholder Success
- Plans and facilitates focused validation sessions, design reviews, demonstrations, and strategic discussions that drive timely decisions, active stakeholder participation, and documented approval.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, building consensus and managing questions, decisions, dependencies, issues, and changes across business, product, design, development, testing, and client teams.
- Captures and governs decisions, action items, validation status, approval evidence, open exceptions, and changes so that the project maintains a reliable audit trail and a shared understanding of scope.
- Performs quality reviews of acceptance criteria, requirements, designs, and validation evidence; identifies gaps, conflicts, ambiguity, and downstream impacts before deliverables advance.
- Identifies and escalates risks or issues affecting requirement quality, design alignment, approvals, scope, or schedule, and implements mitigation strategies that preserve delivery momentum.
- Develops and manages the integrated requirements and design validation schedule, aligning review cycles, decision points, and approvals with overall project milestones and deliverables.
- Provides mentorship and work guidance to business analysts and cross-functional contributors on acceptance-criteria development, integrated requirements/design practices, traceability, validation methods, and stakeholder facilitation.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 7+ years of business analysis experience, with a strong focus on requirements and design analysis, acceptance criteria, stakeholder engagement, validation, and solution delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead integrated requirements and design practices and manage complex functional, non-functional, technical, interface, and compliance requirements for large-scale implementation projects
- Proven expertise in developing measurable acceptance criteria and using design documents, demonstrations, and approved deliverables as validation evidence.
- Experience establishing traceability, approval approaches, change control, and risk-based validation strategies across the delivery life cycle.
- Experience working with healthcare, Medicaid, CMS, or MITA frameworks preferred.

- Fully remote options from most US locations and territories
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation
- The deadline to submit applications for this posting is August 20, 2026
