Summary
This position has overall responsibility for management of a group of accounts within the Health Plan Solutions division. Responsible for the successful sales and delivery of HMS services to client(s). Responsible for relationship management, revenue generation and client satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
- Develops and manages budget and revenue expectations for a specific market (i.e. market, region, segment); May have full P&L responsibility.
- Serves as primary liaison with clients.
- Works with company-wide resources to ensure key client deliverables and revenue goals are met or exceeded.
- Identifies additional sources of revenue through use of sales and marketing skills. Leads sales efforts throughout assigned market.
- Works with clients and stakeholders to shape procurements and identify opportunities for value added services. Leads procurement processes and RFP responses.
- Introduces, and implements new projects to expand scope of engagement.
- Monitors competitor activity, legislative and regulatory initiatives, and agency concerns and contracts.
- Develops and presents reports and other written communication to the client and internal staff.
- Interacts with HMS executives, supporting staff, state constituencies including legislators and governor’s staff.
- Ensures overall service delivery and client satisfaction for assigned market.
- May supervise additional account management staff.
- Supports collaboration between account management team and operations staff.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of related work experience preferred and 5 years + of account management experience required with experience in one of the following areas desired:
- Health insurance
- Client service/business to business,
- Healthcare policy
- Industry with high level of compliance (i.e. finance)
- 3 years experience directly managing staff preferred
- Prior experience managing a P&L of over $1M preferred
Other Qualifications
- Excellent client management skills
- Superior presentation skills.
- Effective at shaping and responding to RFPs.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, must be fluent in English.
- Ability to be careful and thorough about detail.
- Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems.
- Ability to negotiate and collaborate.
- Ability to manage expectations, resolve problems, and develop opportunities.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint; knowledge of SQL or Micro Strategies and company databases.

The pay range for this position is $82,900.00 - $118,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
