Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (Remote-United States)

Reporting to the CHRO, the Head of DE&I is responsible for developing implementing, monitoring and evaluating enterprise-wide programs and initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.


Essential Job Functions:


• Serve as a senior leader on the HR Leadership Team

• Work with Gainwell’s senior leadership to develop Gainwell’s DE&I strategic roadmap and build a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion

• Provide thought leadership and partners in the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the organization

• Actively collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop strategies, objectives, plans and policies to meet the goals of the organization.

• Lead the design, development, implementation and evaluation of D&I programs and initiatives that align to key business objectives.

• Act as subject matter expert and internal consultant to operationalize D&I initiatives across all business sectors and functions.

• Develop and manage a comprehensive portfolio of relationships among external diversity-related organizations.

• Provide direction, support and training to ERGs (employee resource groups and the Diversity & Inclusion Council) to ensure goals and objectives are aligned with Gainwell’s overall business strategy.

• Partner with COEs to integrate diversity & inclusion into core people processes (i.e. talent acquisition, talent and development, employee relations, supplier diversity, etc.)

• Work with business leaders to provide insights, resources, tools, and actions that increase the organization's focus on driving action in promoting diversity and inclusion.

• Develop and execute external partnership strategies that strengthens Gainwell’s brand.

• Manage communications efforts that relate to activities and outcomes of the Company's diversity strategy and programs internally and externally: internally, on the Company's intranet site, publications, newsletters, and other communications as needed; and externally, in terms of DE&I reports, RFP and client presentations, press releases and other collateral materials.

• Conduct and/or direct D & I related research and analyses in support of the organization's DE&I programs and initiatives.

• Lead special DE&I programs and initiatives as directed.




• 10+ years HR/DE&I experience

• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree in Business, OD, I/O Psychology, Training and Development or HR preferred

• Ability to understand business strategies and translate into integrated processes and programs that support business goals

• Experience driving successful execution of DE&I strategies as part of a comprehensive talent management plan.

• Strong change leadership skills coupled with exceptional relationship building and influencing skills at an executive level

• Strong business and financial acumen (cross functional experience a plus)

• Superior written and verbal skills

• Ability to establish relationships at all levels and geographies throughout the organization and cross-functionally; ability to support teams in multiple locations with travel as required

• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions to complex challenges

• Ability to plan and organize self and staff to maximize use of time

• Strong project management experience, including global implementation

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
