Summary
Gainwell Technologies is seeking a COB Support Assistant to support our Third-Party Recovery (TPR) operations. In this role, you will assist Medicaid providers and members by verifying health insurance coverage, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service. The position combines inbound call support and back-office processing activities to help ensure accurate coordination of benefits information while supporting cost containment and regulatory compliance initiatives. Your role in our mission
- Respond to inbound calls from Medicaid providers and members regarding insurance verification and coordination of benefits inquiries.
- Verify, update, and document health insurance information using Medicaid and internal systems.
- Process emails, faxes, SharePoint requests, and other correspondence related to TPR operations.
- Perform data entry and administrative support activities while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Navigate multiple databases, carrier systems, and software platforms to research and validate information.
- Provide professional, accurate, and timely customer service while handling sensitive healthcare information.
- Adhere to HIPAA requirements, company policies, and security guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and support operational efficiency initiatives.
- Support Florida TPR operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of call center or phone-based customer service experience.
- 1+ years of health insurance verification experience, including medical, dental, vision, or pharmacy coverage.
- 1+ years of data entry or administrative support experience with strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to navigate multiple systems and software applications simultaneously.
What you should expect in this role
- Remote position open to candidates located anywhere within the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.
- Monday–Friday work schedule, with shifts of 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
- Frequent interaction with Medicaid members, providers, insurance carriers, and internal business partners.
- Support the TPR Florida (FL) account.
- Training on Gainwell systems, processes, and healthcare programs.
- Opportunity to contribute to programs that help improve healthcare integrity, reduce costs, and support regulatory compliance.
- Occasional extended hours may be required based on business needs.
- As part of our interview process, all candidates must complete an Assessment. This assessment helps us evaluate key competencies relevant to the role, including communication skills, multitasking abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.

The pay range for this position is $26,500.00 - $37,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
