Your role in our mission

This role involves leading complex data and database management projects across multiple disciplines and business groups. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and managing database architecture, integration, data modeling, and environments, including developing and maintaining related objects, security, and audit measures.
  • Managing database performance, capacity, and availability, including data recovery and DBMS software implementation, upgrades, and patching. Diagnosing and resolving performance issues and optimizing SQL statements.
  • Consulting with multiple client groups to provide strategic data/database solutions and advising on data analysis principles, methods, and trends.
  • Designing complex data transformation strategies for business intelligence or data migration, and leading data mapping and model conversion projects.
  • Developing and maintaining database support documentation, providing oversight, mentoring, and leadership to less experienced staff, and collaborating with external consultants and DBA staff.
  • Engaging in technical problem-solving across various technologies and developing customer technology solutions.

What we're looking for

  • 5 years of experience working with DB2 for z/OS v12 , Connect , HADR , Automatic Storage.
  • Experience working with JCL, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, VLDB databases including partitioning required.
  • DB2 Data Replication experience is a plus.
  • DB2 Certification is a plus
  • Experience in the preparation, maintenance, and execution of disaster recovery plans

What you should expect in this role

  • All US locations including remote are being considered. 
  • Ability to ensure the 24/7 availability and performance of the databases that support our systems, including "on-call" responsibilities
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $71,100.00 - $101,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
