In this role, you will support Coordination of Benefits activities for multiple government-funded health plan accounts. You will research, verify, and document health insurance coverage information using carrier websites, online portals, automated phone systems, and direct communication with insurance representatives.
Your role in our mission
- Perform Coordination of Benefits research and insurance verification activities for assigned client accounts.
- Search insurance carrier websites and web-based portals to obtain benefit, eligibility, and coverage information.
- Contact insurance company customer service representatives to verify insurance details, including coverage effective and termination dates.
- Navigate Interactive Voice Response systems to obtain insurance eligibility and coverage information.
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain insurance data within designated systems.
- Review information carefully to identify discrepancies and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Protect confidential member information and follow applicable HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
- Manage assigned workloads independently while meeting established productivity, quality, and timeliness expectations.
- Adjust quickly to changing priorities, processes, and assignments.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to resolve questions or issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- Two years experience with insurance verification, eligibility, benefits, or Coordination of Benefits.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate and thorough data entry.
- Proficiency with computers, internet research, and navigating multiple websites, portals, and applications.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities, processes, and assignments.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet performance expectations in a remote environment.
What you should expect in this role
- Fully remote position within the United States.
- Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone, with Eastern Time Zone candidates preferred.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.

The pay range for this position is $29,100.00 - $41,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
