Summary

As a Pharmacist Advisor at Gainwell, you will provide clinical expertise and strategic guidance to support pharmacy programs, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant medication management solutions. This role is responsible for advising on clinical policies, drug utilization, and pharmacy operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance program performance and patient outcomes. You will play a key role in aligning pharmacy strategies with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.

 

Your role in our mission 

When joining Gainwell, you will: 

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicaid/Medicare requirements
  • Conduct clinical evaluations of medication therapy, including prior authorization reviews and drug utilization assessments
  • Perform peer-to-peer consultations with providers and support prescriber outreach for identified clinical interventions
  • Provide clinical guidance to call center teams and support pharmacy-related inquiries and escalations
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, program optimization, and development of best practices

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Active Pharmacist license (RPh or PharmD) required
  • Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy programs, drug utilization review, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare pharmacy programs or PBM environments preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

The pay range for this position is $90,900.00 - $129,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
