Summary

Join Gainwell Technologies and support the Connecticut Medicaid program as a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Technician. You will process high-volume prior authorization requests, analyze claims information, and ensure accurate and timely clinical determinations. This fully remote position requires an active Pharmacy Technician License issued by any U.S. state; a national CPhT certification is preferred.

Your role in our mission

• Active Pharmacy Technician License issued by any U.S. state (CPhT preferred).
• Knowledge of pharmacy claims, dispensing systems, and medication workflows.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation tools.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in retail pharmacy or similar high-volume pharmacy settings.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Part D, or state pharmaceutical programs.
• 2+ years of customer service or pharmacy support experience.
• Experience using pharmacy software systems and processing electronic requests.
• Prior experience managing shared Outlook mailboxes or workflow queues.

What you should expect in this role

• Fully remote role; must reside within the Continental United States.
• Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm Eastern Time; some holiday coverage may be required.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection required (minimum 24 Mbps download / 8 Mbps upload).

The pay range for this position is $33,500.00 - $47,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
