Summary

The Principal Data analyst is a leadership role focused on supporting large-scale Medicaid healthcare systems implementations, conversions, integrations, and reporting initiatives. The position serves as both a technical lead and subject matter expert, guiding other data analysts while working closely with developers, business stakeholders, clients, and vendors.

Your role in our mission

  • Leading and mentoring data analysts across projects.
  • Performing complex data analysis using SQL, healthcare data models, and QNXT schemas.
  • Analyzing Medicaid business processes, especially member and eligibility data, claims, providers, pharmacy, and TPL.
  • Creating and maintaining data mapping documents, interface specifications, conversion rules, and testing artifacts.
  • Supporting data conversions, system integrations, reporting solutions, and healthcare interfaces (batch, API, real-time, and file-based).
  • Identifying data gaps, troubleshooting discrepancies, and ensuring data quality during implementations and production support.
  • Collaborating with technical and business teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Establishing best practices and standardizing data analysis approaches across initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, data integration, business systems analysis, solution design, or a related discipline.
  • Seven or more years of experience using SQL to analyze, validate, reconcile, transform, or troubleshoot complex relational data.
  • Five or more years of experience supporting Medicaid, Medicare, healthcare payer, pharmacy benefit, claims administration, or another highly regulated healthcare environment.
  • Experience supporting large-scale system implementation, modernization, conversion, or DDI program.
  • Demonstrated experience producing source-to-target mappings, interface specifications, data-analysis results, and test artifacts.

The pay range for this position is $108,500.00 - $155,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
