Summary

Designs, develops and implements complex cloud-based solutions. Participates in and supports the establishment of cloud strategies. Drives cloud infrastructure, applications and service management design and development. Oversees the completion of complex plans and specifications to develop, integrate, test and implement solutions and define standards. Collaborates with internal stakeholders and customers to develop specifications for new cloud-based products and services, applications and solutions. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions and best practices. Acts as a trusted advisor, providing advice and counsel on cloud matters.

Your role in our mission

  • Acts as a trusted advisor and provides advice and counsel to customers on cloud solution matters. Drives solution architecture, and ensures the solution strategy aligns with business strategy.
  • Leads the installation and configuration solutions including platforms, related components and integration points. Creates designs, as appropriate, based on approvals from identified stakeholders. Identifies and implements revisions to meet customer needs and strategies.
  • Researches and selects resources to meet business needs. Creates solutions in relation to, and use of, tools, techniques, software, hardware, programming languages and third-party tools/libraries applicable to the solution.
  • Identifies automated solutions and capabilities applicable to the customer environment. Develops automated solutions and capabilities for deploying tools and technologies. Designs implementation strategies and implements as appropriate; develops enhancements as appropriate.
  • Acts as a strategic advisor and provides technical leadership for cloud solution architecture, ensuring solutions align with enterprise business strategy.
  • Leads the design and implementation of highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) platforms.
  • Defines and enforces cloud governance models, security standards, and compliance frameworks across multi-account and hybrid environments.
  • Automates and streamlines infrastructure provisioning, build, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Oversees adoption of containerized workloads and microservices architectures using Docker, ECS, and EKS to accelerate innovation.
  • Designs and manages enterprise-scale logging, monitoring, and observability frameworks using Splunk, New Relic, and ELK.
  • Troubleshoots complex infrastructure issues, performs root-cause analysis, and implements long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Mentors and guides less experienced engineers, providing technical direction, code reviews, and best practice recommendations.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information technology or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years in cloud engineering and 3–5 years in a lead/principal role.
  • Experience working within a business environment, business industry and competitor products and services.
  • Experience working with the architecting, designing, documenting, building and troubleshooting of complex solutions.
  • Deep expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, covering IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models.
  • Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-wide cloud transformation strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance frameworks (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, firewalls, application delivery controllers, IAM, encryption).
  • Hands-on expertise with infrastructure automation, IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform), and CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, TFS).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams while collaborating across business, security, and compliance groups.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident management systems at enterprise scale.

The pay range for this position is $118,800.00 - $169,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
