Your Role in our mission

 

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas.

 

  • Takes a holistic view of the organization’s strategic IT to ensure the technology meets the needs of the business in the most efficient / effective manner possible 
  • Author, develop, and socialize the enterprise reference architecture (ERA) to drive technology transformation
  • Provides leadership for the implementation and governance of the Reference Architecture including the Business, Application, Information, Infrastructure Technology, Service Management, and Security architecture domains
  • Works with Sales and Product Management on strategic RFP/RFI responses to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with actual product capabilities and product roadmaps
  • Work with Sales and Product Management on product solutioning to ensure our solutions align with the Gainwell Enterprise Reference Architecture (ERA), and that implementation timelines align with engineering estimates
  • Plans technical support infrastructure through the creation of service level agreements; leads the transition from application development to support to ensure that appropriate support is available to clients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability in support of the ERA 
  • Leads the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of technology within the enterprise
  • Acts a liaison between third party vendors / partners and the company to procure, develop and/or integrate their applications into company products and to ensure that solutions are in line with the ERA
  • Promotes shared infrastructure, enterprise data and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows and system complexity
  • Effectively manages operating expenses within the established budget; consistently reviews opportunities to improve expense ratios; recommends strategic investments
  • Participates and leads key Enterprise Architecture Governance Teams including the Architecture Review Board (ARB)
  • Facilitate coordination and discovery on enterprise strategic initiatives
  • Ensures the adherence to ERA that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring the integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise
  • Operates across organizational and computing “silos” to drive common approaches and expose information assets and processes across the enterprise
  • Interfaces across multiple business areas to ensure that the appropriate capabilities, performance, speed to market, and cost characteristics are accounted for in the architecture
  • Tracks, reports, and acts on appropriate metrics for IT efforts across the portfolio

What we’re looking for

 

  • Ten or more years of application architecture
  • Three or more years of enterprise architecture experience working with all aspects of the business 
  • Experience working with cloud-based software systems, applications, and networks (with a focus on cloud-native implementations; AWS and Azure)
  • Experience working with technical products, vendors, and families of technologies and company hardware and software products
  • Experience working with broad business area and knowledge of competitor products and services

The pay range for this position is 120,000 - 180,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
