Your role in our mission

  • Testing: Ensure the team designs and executes automated tests, manages test data, identifies bugs and issues, and confirms that the software meets specified requirements.
  • Test Data: Oversee the team in managing and maintaining test data and tools.
  • Documentation: Ensure the team records defects and test procedures, and reviews documentation for accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with developers and designers to ensure the team provides feedback, offers recommendations, and actively participates in defining and owning the acceptance criteria during product design reviews.
  • Monitoring: Monitor the team's tracking of quality issues and bug resolution efforts.
  • Staying Current: Ensure the team stays up to date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies, both internally at Gainwell and externally.
  • Facilitation: Foster, nurture, elevate, advance, and influence the implementation of quality standards, expectations, culture, and processes throughout Gainwell.
  • Advocacy: Ensure the team advocates for testability and serviceability to be integrated early in the design process.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Ensure the team builds rapport, trust, and enthusiasm with customers and stakeholders.
  • Progress: Guide the team towards proactive measures and continuous improvement in QA practices.
  • Ownership: Ensure the team embodies a core QA value of ownership by being accountable for the areas they manage.
  • Sign-Off: Ensure the team approves work and processes by signing off on completed tasks and quality criteria.

What we're looking for

  • 12+ years of experience in software development, influencing architectural decisions and quality assurance strategies.
  • Ability to identify technological challenges and propose solutions.
  • Deep understanding of various test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, etc.), and experience building custom frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers in testability, serviceability, and quality assurance principles

The pay range for this position is $127,100.00 - $181,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
