Summary
The Pharmacist Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing Prior Authorization Pharmacists and work closely with the Call Center and other Departments for day-to-day operations as well as report to the PA Operation Pharmacist Manager.
The Pharmacist Supervisor will remotely interface with team members, providers, and Medicaid recipients.
The Pharmacist Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the day-to-day implementation of Medicaid services, policies, and procedures and meeting of contractually required service level agreements (SLA) and key performance indicators (KPI) related to the prior authorization services.

Essential Job Functions
- Oversight/Supervisor of Pharmacist working in Prior Authorization Department.
- Reviews and approves training curriculum to ensure staff are appropriately trained.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Continually monitors, assesses, and recommends improvement of the Prior Authorization process.
- Ensures Procedure Manual is kept up to date.
- Attends Gainwell Technologies meetings with policy work groups as appropriate.
- Responsible for clinical decisions on pharmacy issues referred to Gainwell from the State.
- Day to Day management of Staff Pharmacists.
- Performance reviews to evaluate staff on quality and performance metrics.
- Ensures Contracted Service Level Agreements requirements are met.
- Maintains required staffing levels to meet contract performance standards.
- Produce status reports on prior authorization operations as required by State contract requirements.
What we're looking for
• Registered Pharmacist or PharmD.
• Qualified by education or experience to provide oversight.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous Supervisor experience required.
• Experience with Medicaid and Prior Authorizations processes.
• Ability to perform clinical medication reviews using relevant compendia and clinical trial data.

• Remote position – may be required to be in Columbus Ohio office for Gainwell or Department of Medicaid Quarterly Meetings
The pay range for this position is $113,900.00 - $162,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
