Summary

As the Professional Asset Management for Software you will be responsible for the daily and long-term strategic lifecycle management of software assets. This includes approving software procurement and deployment requests, identifying and recovering unused, underused and retired software assets to maintain required compliance. You will participate in annual software license true-ups for enterprise software products as well as internal and external compliance audits. Finally, you will support procurement/finance activities as they pertain to Software Asset Management (SAM).

Your role in our mission

  • Analyzes inventory transactions and generates inventory adjustments to review controllable expense variances.
  • Conducts periodic cycle inventory in preparation of producing ad-hoc modeling and analysis for business and finance. Provides trend analyses when requested and estimate the impact of various business scenarios being considered by management.
  • Supports field research requests from staff, suggests forecast and accruals.
  • Prepares templates for upload and changes for the budget and monitors adds to staff and replacement for forecast and plan.
  • Supports customer service requests as assigned.

 

What we're looking for

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 3+ years cloud experience, in a multi cloud environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Software Asset Management Lifecycles, including onboarding, reclamation, contract renewals, internal and 3rd Party Audit Response
  • Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions and translating into entitlements
  • Experience using ServiceNow SAM, including software model management, normalization and reporting
  • Experience using processes to preserve the availability & reliability of SAM data
  • Experience with yearly license reconciliation of complex software contracts (Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle…)
  • A SAM or ITAM certification highly desired

The pay range for this position is $54,500.00 - $68,100.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
