Your Role In Our Mission

Job Responsibilities

  • Run and maintain network HW/SW, Lifecycle management, Carrier management, Service Now escalation point from Service Desk and NOC, 24-hour on-call
  • Performs analyses of voice/data network needs and contributes to the architectural designs, integration and installations to ensure effective customer network architectures.
  • Assists in evaluating, testing, and documenting current network technology baselines for both hardware and software to determine networking needs.
  • Assists in developing technical standards and interface applications. Evaluates new products to create and maintain optimal network solutions. Investigates and resolves matters of significance.
  • Reports and monitors system utilization and associated costs to guide short term information technology investment decisions as related to voice/data network solutions.


Knowledge/Skills Applied To Job Responsibilities

  • Strong VLAN and IP subnetting knowledge and understanding.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Routing and Switching, and IP Peer Networking.
  • Intermediate skills in Firewalls and Load Balancing and WAN accelerators.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in TCP/IP.
  • Intermediate knowledge in cabling standards and best practices for Desk-side, closet, and Data Center environments.
  • DNS knowledge.
  • Administration experience in Cloud and virtual environments.
  • Understands "bleeding-edge" technical trends and apply that to Gainwell decision making.
  • Solid ability to self-resolve and research technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technology into business terms with customers at all levels.
  • Focus on Customer Service.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and Security rules.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in voice or data networks
  • 1+ years documenting policies, procedures and systems architecture
  • Experience working with network systems and networking principles and practices

  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) preferred but not required
