Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Program Assistant, who will be responsible for the successful delivery of HMS (Gainwell) services to clients. Support will include client-customer relations, report preparation, claim review, research tasks, as well as day-to-day operational projects for the Casualty and Estates Recovery program. The right candidate will possess strong time management skills as they assist in meeting deadlines for client deliverables.

Your role in our mission

  • Ability to interface with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally, in a professional manner.
  • Supports the Program Director, Sr. Attorney, and Program Specialist with client escalations and projects.
  • Maintains and updates ongoing reports to meet deadlines for client deliverables.
  • Corresponds with the client regularly to provide updates and answers to questions.
  • Ability to problem solve when dealing with issues raised to the team.
  • Refers work to the appropriate teams to resolve roadblocks.
  • Prepares documents needed to resolve escalations.
  • Analyzes case details to provide internal and external updates.
  • Assists with local mail and forwarding to intake team.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.

What we're looking for

  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but an associate’s degree should at least be obtained
    • 2 years of equivalent work experience may be substituted for a degree        
  • Experience with legal support or accounting work
  • Experience with Casualty and Estates Recovery
  • 10-15% travel to Albany, NY required

What you should expect in this role

  • This is a full-time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
    • Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week).

  • Employees are eligible to take advantage of flexible vacation policy after ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Any exception requires manager approval prior to employee's Gainwell start date.
  • Company provided computer for work use.
  • For all hybrid and remote positions employees' Broadband Internet connections, should have a minimum speed of 24MBS download and 8 MBS upload.  Greater speeds will of course provide better performance.

  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation if hired.

The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $19.00 per hour, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
