Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Program Manager to support the planning and execution of moderately complex programs. This role is responsible for preparing work statements, defining scope and priorities, and developing budgets and schedules in alignment with client requirements and organizational standards. The Program Manager will assist with project staffing, organize team members to ensure clear communication of objectives and deadlines, and actively participate in project work as needed.

Key responsibilities include documenting program progress, conducting risk analyses, and ensuring adherence to established deliverables and milestones. The position involves managing stakeholder expectations, monitoring performance metrics, and recommending adjustments or alternative solutions to achieve program goals. Additional duties include preparing and managing program budgets, reviewing variances, and incorporating client feedback into future initiatives. The Program Manager may also provide guidance and leadership to less experienced team members.

Your role in our mission

  • Prepares work statements, scope/priority definitions, budgets and schedules for assigned moderately complex programs. Prepares documents with appropriate standards to meet client requirements and needs.
  • Assists in the staffing of projects. Organizes project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives. Participates in work as applicable.
  • Assists in documentation of program progress including implementation, timelines, issues, risks and successes to maintain program course. Conducts analyses to identify risks on the program.
  • Works in conjunction with team to ensure program requirements are met as determined by established deliverables; ensures adherence to those deliverables; communicates milestones and commitments to stakeholders.
  • Provides and assists in providing information regarding possible solutions that may create additional, different or unique project objectives or results.
  • Manages client, company and project team expectations for agreed upon project performance by obtaining and providing project metrics. Recommends changes or alternate paths based upon performance and metrics.
  • Works on the feedback provided by the client on program results and incorporates same into future programs. Identifies and determines global implications of program parameters and redefines, redesigns or revises as appropriate.
  • Prepares and recommends program operating and program budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, reviews and recommends variances as necessary.
  • May provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in project management, with Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge in project management methodology and software as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) (or the ability to obtain within six months of hire)
  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors with the ability to communicate and present ideas clearly and effectively
  • Creative problem solver and leader who can define structure from ambiguity and translate broad program objectives into clear and achievable project milestones

What you should expect in this role

  • This is a full-time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
  • Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week) within the state of Nevada. Those outside of Nevada will not be considered.

  • New employees are eligible to take advantage of flexible vacation policy after ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Any exception requires manager approval prior to employee's Gainwell start date.
  • Company provided computer for work use.
  • For all hybrid and remote positions employees' Broadband Internet connections, should have a minimum speed of 24MBS download and 8 MBS upload.  Greater speeds will of course provide better performance.
  • In this position one will travel quarterly.
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation if hired.

The pay range for this position is $69,400.00 - $99,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
