Summary

HMS is hiring a Provider Enrollment Specialist for the Alaska MMIS Fiscal Agent contract. The Provider Enrollment Specialists for HMS are responsible for interfacing with Providers, working with applications, and completing data entry duties related to Provider Enrollment.

Your role in our mission

  • Processes and returns moderately complex provider applications/requests.
  • Enters data and confirms provider information entered or already in the system.
  • Processes written correspondence for provider maintenance.
  • Researches problem areas and documents processes used to correct issues.
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries relating to enrollment questions.
  • Tracks and logs all provider inquiries.
  • Corresponds and returns applications, providing clear direction to providers.
  • Ensures proper policy and guidelines are being followed by using the User and Operating procedure manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • One year of credentialing experience, medical billing experience, or healthcare experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism when communicating with providers and customers.
  • Ability to effectively work independently to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work under aggressive time constraints. Ability to work with details and follow directions. Ability to use multiple window-based screens to perform work. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to be well organized and work under high production standards.
  • Ability to track and follow up on assignments and enrollment applications.

What you should expect in this role

  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.
  • Remote Work Environment (Work-from-Home)
  • Full-time (40 hours a week)
  • Most benefits start on first day of employment

The pay range for this position is $37,500 - $53,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
