Summary
The Provider Relations Consultant supports provider relations operations by assisting healthcare providers, state partners, and internal teams with issue resolution, provider education, claims research, and operational support activities. This role serves as a liaison between the provider community and internal operational teams while helping maintain strong provider relationships, supporting outreach initiatives, and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant responses to provider inquiries.
Your role in our mission
- Support the Regional Provider Relations team by researching, investigating, documenting, and responding to provider and state partner inquiries within established response time standards.
- Manage out-of-state and non-bordering Idaho provider concerns, including outreach, education, issue resolution, and follow-up.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers, provider offices, associations, state partners, and operational teams.
- Assist with the development and delivery of provider education materials through one-on-one support, virtual meetings, workshops, conferences, and group sessions.
- Research claims, enrollment, credentialing, billing, compliance, and operational issues while identifying opportunities for workflow and process improvement.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare operations, provider relations, provider services, claims research, provider enrollment, credentialing, medical billing, or healthcare customer support.
- Experience working with healthcare providers, state programs, payer operations, provider offices, billing agencies, or healthcare support functions preferred.
- Experience researching and resolving provider-related claims, enrollment, billing, credentialing, compliance, or operational inquiries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to educate, present, and communicate professionally with providers and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, analytical, time management, technical, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems.

- Remote position supporting healthcare provider operations and provider relations activities throughout Idaho and surrounding service areas.
- Travel may be required for provider site visits, conferences, workshops, team meetings, or operational events, including onsite meetings in Boise, Idaho.
- Fast-paced environment focused on provider satisfaction, operational support, issue resolution, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
- Regular interaction with healthcare providers, provider offices, operational leadership, associations, and state partners.

The pay range for this position is $32,700.00 - $46,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
