Summary

HMS is hiring Quality Assurance Analysts (QAAs) who will be responsible for verifying that the various Functional Areas have appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and are completing their tasks accurately and within standards. The QAAs document their findings, works with Functional Areas leaders to resolve issues, provide input on process improvements, assists with updating documentation, and generate the Monthly SLA report and other analytical reporting
 

Job Description

Essential Job Functions: 


•    Evaluates work products to independently assess quality and reports findings. Assists in implementing recommendations as approved. 
•    Plans, tracks, and coordinates audit support tasks, gathering data or other information requested for audits, and obtains all information necessary to present a complete and accurate audit response to clients. 
•    Reviews internal department performance as determined by procedures and measured against Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 
•    Compiles results of performance review and assists with the creation of the monthly SLA report. 
•    Assists business departments in the creation, review, and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
•    Develops and maintains quality assurance documentation for projects and tasks to include quality metrics. Ensures documentation complies with established standards, policies, procedures, and best practices. 
•    Participates in special projects, audits, and process improvements in support of quality assurance initiatives. Reviews audit and assessment results to identify trends and issues, perform root-cause analysis, develop recommendations for resolution, and track effectiveness of remedies. 
•    Assists management in defining and maintaining an effective and efficient quality program, including developing and presenting associated training and familiarization to staff. 
•    Completes other duties as assigned. 

Basic Qualifications

•    Two or more years of quality assurance, engineering, or audit experience required. Healthcare or insurance industry claims experience required. Lean Six Sigma, Fraud Prevention, or other related certifications and training preferred.  
•    Experience working with project management methodology preferred. 
•    Strong attention to detail. Strong focus on customer service. Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving acumen. Excellent project management and organizational skills . Excellent organization and time management skills . Strong communication skills to interact and present findings to team members, customers, management, and support personnel. Good interpersonal skills for interacting with project and task team members.  
•    Ability to exercise independent judgment in deploying appropriate criteria, methods, and techniques required to achieve measurable objectives. Ability to work independently or within a team environment, even when remote.  
•    Ability to participate in various formal and informal professional training sessions and established quality assurance training. Ability to complete assigned responsibilities under tight timelines. Ability to handle multiple project and task responsibilities simultaneously and switch between them quickly to meet prioritized business needs. 
 

Work Environment: 


Work from Home/Hybrid  
Work-from-home (WFH); or Hybrid model including in-office and WFH days to be defined. For positions assigned to WFH, reliable high-speed internet connectivity is required.  Employees working-from-home may be required to report to the office, at times, to support work efforts.  

 

The pay range for this position is $64,200.00 - $80,300.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
