Your role in our mission

 

Design your career for growth, new possibilities and refining your valuable skills:​

  • Database Optimization & Tuning: Expertise in DDL/DML, performance tuning, and SQL optimization using execution plans, SQL profiles, and the Database Tuning Advisor.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to application database connectivity, RDBMS, and query performance.
  • Collaboration & Independence: Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Best Practices & Processes: Developing and using best practices, checklists, and defined processes for database management.
  • Support: Providing support outside regular hours when needed and familiarity with Agile/Kanban, HIPAA, and healthcare (Medicaid) is advantageous.
  • Skill Development: Demonstrating a passion for learning new technical skills and assisting in technical program design.
  • Database Monitoring & Security: Monitoring database activity, ensuring resources are available, and implementing database security policies, patches, and guidelines.
  • Performance Improvement: Identifying tuning opportunities, improving system response, and optimizing database accessibility.
  • Project Leadership: Leading technical projects, mentoring less experienced personnel, and assisting in project planning, task management, and database integration.
  • Database Recovery & Integration: Assisting in unique recovery plans and integrating databases with commercial off-the-shelf software and other systems.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with data de-identification tools (e.g., Delphix) is a plus.

What we're looking for

 

  • 7+ years of data management experience.
  • Strong expertise as a SQL Server and/or Oracle Application DBA working closely with application developers.
  • Strong expertise in DDL/DML
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud, Amazon Web Services, SQL Server IaaS (infrastructure as a Service).
  • Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with minimal direction.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required

The pay range for this position is $64,700.00 - $92,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
