Senior Business Analyst (Healthcare)

Summary

As a Senior Business Analyst (Healthcare) at Gainwell, is a senior individual contributor responsible for developing high-quality business process models, role-based training content, process documentation, and readiness materials that support successful enterprise solution implementations. This role partners with business stakeholders, project teams, product teams, and clients to understand current-state and future-state processes, document business workflows, translate process detail into training and enablement materials, and support alignment between business needs, solution design, and operational readiness. The position requires strong facilitation, analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently on complex assignments and contribute to standards, templates, and reusable assets without direct people-management responsibility. 

Your role in our mission

• Develop, maintain, and validate current and future-state business process models, workflows, process documentation, and supporting materials.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders, subject matter experts, product teams, and project teams to gather requirements, document business processes, and assess operational impacts.
• Analyze process gaps, dependencies, risks, data touchpoints, and downstream impacts, recommending improvements to support efficient operations and successful implementations.
• Review system data, SQL-based extracts, database relationships, and business scenarios to support process validation and operational readiness.
• Ensure process documentation, training content, and readiness materials align with approved requirements and solution design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation planning, stakeholder engagement, communications, user readiness, and adoption of new processes.
• Manage assigned work independently, communicate project status and risks, and deliver quality outcomes within established timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of business and operational objectives.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, system implementation, training development, or related business operations disciplines.
• Experience creating process documentation, workflow models, SOPs, training materials, job aids, and other business enablement resources.
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and processes while collaborating with stakeholders, subject matter experts, clients, and technical teams.
• Working knowledge of business process analysis, SQL/data validation, and healthcare, Medicaid, public sector, or other large enterprise environments, with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare, Medicaid, public-sector operations, or similar enterprise environments preferred.

What you should expect in this role

• Fully remote options from most US locations and territories.

• Willingness to travel as needed for client or team support.

• Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.
