Gainwell Employee Communications is seeking a talented communications professional to join our team. We are passionate storytellers who believe employee engagement drives business results. The Senior Communications Specialist will report directly to the Senior Director, Employee Communications. This position will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to design, develop and manage internal communications that engage, inspire and motivate employees.

 

Primary Responsibilities  

  • Develops and executes internal communications strategies
  • Researches, writes and edits compelling content for employee communications channels, including the company's intranet and other digital media
  • Collaborates with senior leaders and subject matter experts throughout the organization to develop communications
  • Collaborates with Communications team members to drive message consistency
  • Works with creative staff to ensure videos, graphics and other mediums achieve the desired communications effect
  • Measures communications activity effectiveness
  • Communicates complex issues in a clear and understandable manner
  • Meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders  
  • Demonstrates strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrates exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Creates and edits content
  • Presents and communicates ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels to internal audiences through relationship building and strong presence
  • Presents creative communication approaches to business challenges
  • Works proficiently in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exercises independent judgment
  • Analyzes information and uses logic to address work-related issues and problems
  • Works independently and with a team, including with staff at all levels to achieve business goals
  • Handles pressure and deadline-driven project demands as well as manages multiple initiatives    
  • Communicates complex issues in a clear and understandable manner
  • Builds strong relationships with internal clients
  • Demonstrates strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

 

 

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Major in English, Communications, Journalism or Marketing preferred

 

Minimum Related Work Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience preferably in a healthcare environment, demonstrated leadership capabilities
