Summary

This is an internal consulting generalist role that will put solid business process analysis skills to use on a fast-based team that is developing an unprecedented new service for population health management. The role will be focused on a large engagement to support Medi-Cal beneficiaries for the state of California to start and could expand to other clients.

 

Your role in our mission

  • Analyzes and documents client's business requirements and processes and communicates these requirements by constructing conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates from organization.
  • Leads projects to resolve open challenges, researching, scoping and defining the challenge, and developing options for the project with clear analysis on the implications of each option.
  • Provides input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develops business specifications to support these modifications.
  • Plans and facilitates research on client needs, including literature reviews, focus groups, surveys, and interviews
  • Plans, designs and recommends business solutions to improve and support the Population Health Management solution.
  • Supports development of Population Health Management Service roadmap and supporting business and technical architecture.
  • Facilitates meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.
  • Assists in coordinating business analyst tasks on information technology projects and provide support to other team members.
  • Assists in analyzing testing results in all phases.
  • Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried out through the entire project.
  • Assists with developing the methods and procedures required to identify whether current business goals and objectives meet organizational needs.
  • Assisting with the management of vendor relations
  • Utilizes performance improvement methodologies and organizational change management methodologies to address gaps in performance, technology needs, regulations, etc. 
  • Identifies any deviations from the plan by proactively identifying issues and risks 


What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Pursuing advanced degree or in pursuit of adv degree and approximately 3-7 years of prior relevant work experience  
  • Experience working with health care and the interface of information technology with functional groups within an organization.
  • Experience working with data analytics.
  • Experience working with design concepts and basic language.
  • A strong grasp of Medicaid and supporting systems in California
  • A collaborative approach to work, and the motivation to develop your skills by taking ownership of new challenges 
  • Excellent presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply and effectively to all audiences 
  • Ability to identify and communicate efficiently the different components of an analysis or conceptual structure of a problem or situation 
  • Ability to conceptualize components of a business issue to aid in the analysis and definition of solutions 
  • Strong leadership skills and a desire to build cutting-edge solutions 
  • Ability to take initiative and drive execution with minimal supervision 
  • Work experience within healthcare or consulting 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite programs 
  • Exposure to one of more of the following:  
    • Healthcare knowledge at either payer or provider level 
    • Technical knowledge in business applications (Microsoft Office, Tableau) and healthcare applications preferred (Epic, Cerner) 


What you should expect in this role

  • Onsite work in Sacramento, CA, or remote with willingness to travel to Sacramento and other sites in CA 20-30% of time is required.

The pay range for this position is $86,300.00 - $123,300.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
