Summary

 

The Senior Principal Sales Solutions – Healthcare role leads the development of large, complex, and mission-critical healthcare solutions for state, payer, and managed care customers. This role combines deep healthcare claims and information technology domain expertise with advanced financial cost modeling and solution architecture leadership to shape competitive, executable, and defensible proposals. The position serves as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, owning solution strategy, cost models, and financial assumptions for high-value healthcare pursuits.

Your role in our mission

 

• Serve as a senior healthcare industry and solution expert, leading strategy and solution development for large, complex healthcare IT, claims, and managed care opportunities.

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across healthcare claims processing, eligibility, provider systems, care management, and integrated healthcare platforms.

• Own financial cost modeling and estimating for healthcare pursuits, including development of estimates using Gainwell’s Parametric cost model.

• Develop Small, Medium, and Large scenario models to support deal strategy, pricing decisions, and executive reviews.

• Build, analyze, and maintain advanced Excel-based healthcare cost and pricing models.

• Ensure proposed solutions align with healthcare regulatory requirements, delivery constraints, and financial guardrails.

• Partner with sales, delivery, and product teams to align scope, healthcare capabilities, and pricing strategy.

• Establish trusted-advisor relationships with executive healthcare stakeholders, including Medicaid, payer, and managed care leadership.

• Present and defend healthcare solution approaches, cost models, and pricing assumptions to executives and clients.

• Participate in deal governance and approvals as a senior authority on healthcare solution economics.

• Mentor and coach less experienced Sales Solutions and Solution Architecture staff.

What we're looking for

 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, or information technology preferred.

• 15 or more years of experience in healthcare solutions, healthcare IT, claims, or managed care environments.

• Direct experience supporting healthcare claims platforms or payer systems.

• Demonstrated leadership in financial modeling, cost estimating, and pricing for healthcare IT solutions.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Proven ability to lead large, complex healthcare pursuits.

• Ability to articulate healthcare business value, cost drivers, and financial trade-offs.

• Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven leadership in cross-functional healthcare pursuit environments.

• Ability to present to executive and board-level audiences.

• High degree of judgment, initiative, and accountability.

• Strong mentoring and leadership presence.

The pay range for this position is $129,200.00 - $184,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
