Your role in our mission

Play a critical part in ensuring Gainwell is meeting our clients’ objectives in important areas.

  • Help coordinate a business analyst team’s duties and activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support
  • Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact 
  • Work with the client to develop business specs at the start of a technical project
  • Analyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve business processes to support client’s technology goals
  • Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results    
  • Exercise your ability to use basic analytical or relational database software — such as Excel or SQL — to quantify the anticipated impact of work 

What we're looking for

  • 6 or more years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst position with Medicaid and Medicare experience 
  • Provider Eligibility and Enrollment - Portal experience required
  • Medicaid and MITA Expertise: Knowledge of Medicaid processes, systems, and MITA, covering key areas such as provider enrollment, maintenance, and credentialing processes.
  • Business and Technical Skills: Strong business analysis, research, and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and address system issues, paired with technical savvy and familiarity with Visio and process modeling.
  • Training and Presentation Skills: Skilled in both in-person and virtual training, with experience in adult learning, classroom facilitation, and delivering technical concepts effectively.
  • Content Creation and Documentation: Background in technical writing and documentation, with expertise in video creation and editing (Camtasia, Articulate, Captivate) and 508 compliance for accessibility.
  • Communication and Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of leading presentations, facilitating stakeholder sessions, and maintaining clarity in complex discussions.
  • Requirement Management: Proficient in requirements analysis, capturing, and managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle, and familiar with product-based implementations.

What you should expect in this role

  • Office hours 8a-5p Alaska time.
  • Candidate is preferred to reside in Alaska, remote options may be considered from pacific, mountain, Arizona time, Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time.
  • Willing to travel 25-50% as requested by client.
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $64,900.00 - $92,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
