Summary

The Senior Test Delivery Lead is a program level‑ leadership role within the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE), positioned between the Test Delivery Director and Test Delivery / QA Leads. This role is responsible for the end to end‑ oversight of testing delivery for one or more programs, ensuring execution aligns with approved scope, schedules, quality expectations, and SLA/KPI commitments. The Senior Test Delivery Lead translates strategic direction into actionable delivery plans, providing strong governance and execution oversight while enabling Delivery Leads to focus on project‑level execution.

Your role in our mission

  • Program Level‑ Delivery Oversight
    Provides oversight for testing delivery across assigned programs, monitoring progress, dependencies, risks, and quality outcomes throughout the SDLC. Ensures test planning, execution, and reporting remain aligned with program milestones, release schedules, and business priorities.
  • Stakeholder and Cross ‑Functional Coordination
    Acts as the primary program level coordination point between Test Delivery Leads, Release Test Managers, product, development, conversion, and release management teams. Ensures cross functional dependencies are actively managed and issues are resolved in a timely manner‑ to avoid delivery disruption.
  • Governance, Reporting, and Risk Management
    Participates in program and operational governance forums, reporting program health through metrics d riven status updates. Owns program level RAID management, ensuring risks and issues are identified early, mitigated appropriately, and escalated when required. Supports change governance by assessing impacts and ensuring alignment with SLA and quality commitments.
  • Metrics Driven‑ Execution and Continuous Improvement
    Reviews test execution metrics, defect trends, and SLA/KPI performance to identify improvement opportunities within assigned programs. Drives corrective actions, supports process enhancements, and ensures adoption of Test CoE standards and best practices.
  • Shared Services Integration
    Ensures effective engagement with Test CoE shared services, including automation, performance testing, environments, tooling, and test data management. Promotes consistent use of enterprise frameworks and accelerators to improve efficiency and delivery outcomes.
  • Demand and Capacity Support
    Supports demand and capacity planning for assigned programs by participating in pipeline reviews, contributing to effort estimation, and evaluating skill requirements. Works with Directors and TMO to ensure appropriate staffing alignment based on program scope and complexity.

What we're looking for

  • Seasoned QA leader with 10+ years in software testing (5+ in leadership) across large healthcare/government programs, including Medicaid DDI, modernization, and CMS‑compliant state implementations.
  • Deep expertise in healthcare data and transactions, including HIPAA X12 (270/271, 276/277, 834, 837, 999, 835) and NCPDP D.0 pharmacy claims.
  • Proven leadership across full testing lifecycle—SIT, E2E, Regression, Performance, parallel and UAT.
  • Strong tooling and technical capabilities, including ALM, Jira, Zephyr, qTest, and experience with AI‑driven testing and functional/regression automation.
  • Highly effective communicator and stakeholder manager, skilled in executive reporting, risk management, cross‑team alignment, and guiding distributed teams with a governance‑driven, resilient leadership style.

What you should expect in this role

  • This is a full-time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
  • Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week).

  • New employees are eligible to take advantage of flexible vacation policy after ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Any exception requires manager approval prior to employee's Gainwell start date.
  • For all hybrid and remote positions employees' Broadband Internet connections, should have a minimum speed of 24MBS download and 8 MBS upload.  Greater speeds will of course provide better performance.

The pay range for this position is $113,900.00 - $162,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
