Summary
The Solution Consultant is a critical role in supporting sales and optimizing solutions as the accountable owner of the Provider Services system solutions. These solutions are designed to compete in the Medicaid market and enhance service for our clients. This role involves working with customer success teams and clients to understand Medicaid client & industry needs, leveraging standardized solutions to build solution models to meet these needs, and creating accurate and optimized costing models that align with value-based pricing and achieves business goals of the organization.
Your role in our mission
- Collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams to understand client needs during the sales cycle and lead the development of system and operational solutions, leveraging Gainwell’s suite of Provider systems and services for Medicaid clients
- Work across internal teams on proposals, RFP responses, and business cases throughout the sales and procurement lifecycle
- Drive collaboration across account, sales, engineering, implementation, product, operations teams and ensure alignment on solutions across all disciplines as part of product sales
- Develop competitive product cost and pricing models, ensuring that solutions align with client requirements and support the organization’s financial objectives
- Work with product management and operations teams to identify solution efficiency and optimization opportunities that inform product roadmaps and investment decisions
- Manage the hygiene of all baseline Provider product cost and pricing models, ensuring they reflect the latest product and services solutions, and any upcoming transformations
- Create product cost and pricing models for new products, leveraging competitive and market intel
- Stay updated on Medicaid procurement policies, regulations, and trends to inform solution development, competitiveness of solutions, and champion any necessary actions to address findings
What we're looking for
- Experience in end-to-end procurement life cycle, cross-functional solution design, and consulting with a focus on financial models that show cost, revenue, profitability year-over-year across the term of the deal
- Experience driving cost and platform transformation through self-identified plans to resolve problem areas of the product ecosystem and associated services
- Strong understanding of complex technology software and systems in the Medicaid and Provider solutions
- Experience with NASPO Medicaid Enterprise Systems, specifically the Provider Services Module requirements
- Excellent project management skills, with a focus on building and managing against multiple milestone-based plans to meet goals across projects
- Exceptional communication skills and someone who “over communicates” and can simplify complex concepts for executive, technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of the Medicaid procurement process and familiarity with the Medicaid industry
- Ability to identify process improvements and self-address with support of leadership and teams
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience owning complex product solution development and supporting technology sales
- 3+ years of experience developing cost, revenue, and profitability financial models of technology products
- 5+ years of relevant project/product/program management experience in the technology space

The pay range for this position is $103,300.00 - $147,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
