We are seeking a talented individual for a Senior Regional Director who is responsible for the overall service delivery and satisfaction of assigned clients.   Responsible for the overall health of service delivery to Government clients. Tasked with overarching management of multiple state contracts, which includes: client relationships, sales and growth strategy, project management, steering account management team, and prioritizing internal account management SLAs and activities. Position entails supervision, oversight and mentoring over PD staff with minimal day-to-day client responsibility. Responsible for regional organizational planning and strategic planning, including project planning and ensuring service delivery execution with stakeholders in other offices. Champions Gainwell products and services. Typically supports clients with a revenue base of $10M+.


Primary Responsibilities  

  • Effectively plans, budgets, and manages client account economics, including P&L oversight, forecast accuracy, and yield initiative tracking- responsible for meeting or exceeding regional revenue and yield targets
  • Serves as “escalation point” for PDs for assistance in resolving operational, client deliverable, IT issues etc.
  • Understands client’s business and demonstrates technical competence in Gainwell services and industry.
  • Provides ongoing training and mentoring of existing and new PD staff (including but not limited to budgeting and forecasting, TPL or PI deliverable QA and approvals, coordination of client communication and meetings)
  • Manages multiple complex contracts and a revenue base.
  • Understands the political and competitive landscape, and proactively protects and grows business accordingly. Work with government relations counterparts to develop brand messaging and attend relationship building meetings
  • Builds strong relationships internally at Gainwell and externally with clients and strategic partners at various levels to facilitate integration and drive results.
  • Adds value by identifying client expectations and then exceeding mutually agreed-upon objectives.
  • Attend industry-related events and conferences and work to further develop strategic agenda and partnerships
  • Successfully attracts, manages, retains, and develops employees, including succession planning.
  • Continually promotes Gainwell by developing further contacts within the business community and healthcare industry and serving as a brand ambassador in the market.
  • Proactively shapes needs and expansion opportunities to optimize client service and delivery
  • Assists executive leadership in identifying, communicating and managing client risks.
  • Assists in identifying partnerships that enhance Gainwell’s ability to enter new contracts and markets.


Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional client management and business development skills.
  • Excel in communicating with internal stakeholders as well as external entities and customers
  • Prepare and facilitate executive level presentations.
  • Prior management and direct supervisory experience in a team environment.
  • Ability to negotiate and collaborate at an executive level.
  • Maintain professional demeanor under stress.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Ability to manage relationships at all levels including senior executives and politicians.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to manage contract deliverables in a matrix-based environment.
  • Able to work collaboratively with other internal stakeholders to deliver best of breed products and services
  • Handle highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner


Minimum Related Work Experience

  • 10+ years of sales and account management experience in a healthcare insurance environment, Medicaid and Medicare experience (MITA preferred) desired. Financial background preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience directly managing staff – Required
  • 6+ years project management experience – Required
  • Strong analytical and healthcare technology background preferred
