As a ​Sr. Professional EDI Programmer Analyst at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. Your role in our mission

  • Develop flexible reusable components to increase cost effectiveness. Analyzes, designs and reviews design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied.
  • Develop design requirements that are accurate and relevant to company needs. Recommends and implements alternative courses of action as appropriate to meet requirement needs.
  • Utilizes experience in development methodologies, coding documentation, testing methodology and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, functional specifications, and detailed design of application solutions for clients.
  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Guides the work of less experienced developers to create, maintain and communicate details of application designs to ensure that designs are according to specifications.
  • Provides technical consulting on complex projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Determines and recommends alternative approaches as needed and implements as appropriate.
  • Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex programs. Develops complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.

 

What we're looking for

 

  • Must possess a strong proven, hands-on experience and understanding of the Healthcare EDI X12N transactions formats that govern healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). In depth knowledge of and experience with HIPAA/EDI X12 5010 healthcare-related transactions including 270-271, 276-277,277CA,277U, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999, 824, and NCPDP. 
  • Expert with commonly used EDI concepts, practices, and procedures within a heath care field
  • Knowledge of EDI applications such as IBM Sterling / ITXA suite, Edifecs suite 
  • Software developer with coding skills in Java, J2EE environment, .NET, and SQL
  • Experience with QNXT preferred

The pay range for this position is $79,900.00 - $99,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
